If you really want tickets to individual shows and events, including registration for workshops, they can be found here. However, this whole weird weekend will be infinitely more fun if you plan ahead by purchasing one of the following rad passes.

The Green Gravel Comedy Fest is a weekend of the finest alternative comedy in the heart of Iowa! Our 2016 fest takes place March 4-5th around downtown Iowa City through the support of local volunteers, sponsors, performers and fans who make funny business happen at home.

This year’s guests include 2016 Golden Globe winner Rachel Bloom (The CW’s Crazy Ex-Girlfriend), Oscar-nominated animator Bill Plympton and even more acts that you won’t see at your average comedy show. With free and accessibly-priced talkbacks, Q&A’s and workshops, GGCF has been committed to the growth of greater comedy in the heartland since 2014.

As the first major comedy fest in Iowa, our programming has brought laughs in the form of stand-up, improv, sketch, shorts, podcasts and animated material; previous guests have included Kevin McDonald (The Kids in the Hall), Pete Holmes (The Pete Holmes Show), Eddie Pepitone (In Ruins) and many more that can be found in our archives.

GGCF is proud to be staffed by alumni of The University of Iowa who are passionate about the process of comedy, from creation to celebration. Please click on our Staff page for more details about our work!

Treat yourself or a friend to a weekend pass, or just grab individual tickets to whatever shows you think look cool; the full schedule can be viewed by clicking the Events tab on our main menu. Thank you for joining us, we can’t wait to share this year’s events with you!
